NEXT MEETING

May - Sunday  24th

Time: Lunch 1:00 - 1:50 Stories 2:00pm to 4:15pm

This is part of the SA History Festival, and is a free event. Adults love stories, and Storytelling Australia (SA) is a group who love to tell and be told stories. Join us to hear tales of fascinating, inspiring, dramatic, or funny events and characters in the history of SA and Adelaide and the rich connections formed through times and places. Always absorbing, and fun!

Venue: Knightsbridge Guide Hall, Philps Reserve, Corners of Glynburn Road, Rochester Street & Howard Terrace, Leabrook. Enquiries: Olga 8431 6161

About Each Monthly Meeting:

  • QUERIES: Call Vivienne, including for private venue details - 0439 420 994**.**
  • LUNCH - 1pm to 2pm People bring finger-food to add to the table. Lunch starts each meeting. It's valued time, with opportunities to get to know each other. It's casual, fun, help yourself & share the tasks.
  • STORY-SHARING starts at 2pm, finishes about 4'ish (includes refreshments break)
  • STORIES - lots of 'TALKS' are not stories. If new to this delightful expressive art form, research what is a story, listen for a while and then have a go - all very supportive
  • THEMES for stories are a catalyst ... open to imaginative interpretation & intended for adults, not children
  • VENUES – assorted public places and private homes please call Host for address if in private home. Meetings can be indoors &/or outdoors - be prepared, just in case!
  • COST – $5 which is linked to Raffle of the day, helps cover venue & insurance
  • TRADING TABLE - cash purchases of produce & quirky goods & goodies, also helps cover expenses
  • CHANGES - Occasionally, change to the program notices will be sent to those on our email list.
  • LISTENERS most welcome, as are TELLERS with a prepared story
  • GUESTS and new members fully welcome
